We’ve had a few requests for Halloween photos from family members far away. So… here they are: Pooh, Tigger, and Eeyore. Plus, our own Cinderella, although you would be among the majority if you instead assumed she was dressing up as a beautiful bride…most of the compliments she received today indicated so! I think one my favorite shots is of Jonathan pouting with the pumpkins…he did not want me to take his picture!
The first few photos you will see are from early in the day, both at home and at Abigail and Jonathan’s preschool. They both enjoyed fall parties with their classes. Then later today, all five of us ventured out around our neighborhood, and even made it over to Grammy and Grandy’s neighborhood to finish out our evening with them. I am sorry to say that we’re experiencing very warm weather for this late in the year so our furry friends were rather overheated by the time the trick-r-treating was at an end!! But we had a really fun time nonetheless!
Wow, Jay’s shirt is on fire! I think I remember that thing from the way cool 50’s spaghetti dinner at Town North…
So I’m a little confused…was it too hard for Abigail to pick a particular costume, or what? Why the change-up in the middle of the day?
Also, I think it’s supposed to be “Trick OR treat,” Trish…the “r” seems more appropriate in Toys R Us; maybe it’s just me…
Very cute and fun pics, though, thanks for sharing. Tell Mookie to bring his Eeyore costume to College Station, the folks here will love it.
Good memory, Andre. I suggested Jay wear his spiffy shirt to work on Friday for a festive feel. His boss got a big laugh out of it from what I hear. I figure Nortel can use any brief bit of humor possible these days!
Regarding the costume thing, it was 83 degrees in the middle of the day here on Friday. And Abigail had been expressing interest in dressing in something other than Pooh during the day b/c she would be too hot. Our sweet Grammy Ruth had just recently acquired two lovely dressup dresses which she offered to let Abigail try on for a possible daytime costume. She was kind enough to do a quick alteration too and presto! Abigail had a second, very beautiful costume to wear to school. She was delighted with her finery though I had to talk with her just a little bit when she announced early in the morning, “Mommy!! I’m going to be the most beautiful girl in the whole school!” Yikes!
Let me preface my comment by saying that I’m not intentionally TRYING to start something, but we should get Lydia and the fluffy bunny costume together with Nicolas and the Eeyore costume. The cute factor would be so far out of this world we could not dare to fathom it!!!
But that’s just my opinion!
