Wow. An oddly fun diversion: Guess the Dictator or Television Sit-Com Character (thanks to Jon for the link). It asks you a long string of yes/no questions and then spouts off regarding its superiority.
I win again! You are player number 330 to have chosen Doug Hefernan from King of Queens. I knew you were Doug Hefernan from King of Queens from the start, but I strung you along for a while to make it seem more sporting. I hope that one day you will overcome the powerful sense of humiliation that you now feel. Until then, good luck.
Very fun indeed Jay!
And please congratulate me!! I was able to stump the smug program when I pretended to be Holly from King of Queens. It guessed I was Fred from Angel.
Too funny! I thought I’d stump it with Jack Tripper from Three’s Company and Willis from Different Strokes (because I haven’t watched a sitcom in years…), but I guess the database used for this goes back a ways.
Ah, but I was only player number 8 to pick the Flying Nun!
I beat the machine.
“Well, there you have it, I was wrong again. I was positive that you were chief wild eagle from f troop! But you are far too clever for a puny computer like me. Now you can go and tell everyone while I sit here and try to put the pieces of my crumbled existence back together.”
Ha! I was Ed from Northern Exposure.
Sigh! I was correctly identified by the computer as Abby from ER…maybe I am too predictable! 🙂
Obviously I don’t have enough to do with my time…I stumped it again! I was the ever-annoying Francine from Scarecrow and Mrs. King!
Here’s what computer said:
“Well, there you have it, I was wrong again. I was positive that you were Jamie Sommers from Bionic Woman! But you are far too clever for a puny computer like me. Now you can go and tell everyone while I sit here and try to put the pieces of my crumbled existence back together.”
After I submitted a question, at its request, to help it play better next time, it grovelled some more:
“Your valuable replies have been added to my database. With your help the database is now vast enough to guess any evil dictator or sit-com character that anyone can ever think of ever! Next time you will not find me nearly as inadequate. Please come back and visit me often so that I don’t grow sad and lonely.”
