“The splotchy blue wall is gone…
Heigh-ho, Heigh-ho, Hah!
Let us sing a happy song…
Heigh-ho, Heigh-ho, Hah!”
Many thanks to Abigail who watched over Josiah this afternoon on her day off so I could prime over this stunning (a little too stunning, if you ask me!) bit of color in Josey’s room.
Now to paint the nursery a more pleasing (read “lighter”) shade of blue….
I’m glad I got to see it before you painted it, Trish. I might not have believed it otherwise. I mean really, who does that to their house???
Hey Dude, you were like the first in the family to see the famous blue wall. What an honor. 🙂
I’m looking forward to a photo of the finished product. Just hope Josiah didn’t become too attached to the maligned splotchy blue wall!
Trish,
I love that you have a song for every occasion, from poopy diapers to crazy wall colors. You truly have a gift.
Sorry! That last comment was actually from me, not Andrew.
True; Andrew has known about the songs for years.
For a while, she had dances, too.
Wine dance!
At times I break out in a Trica original song as well. The one that always comes to my mind is “you got the milk Mama, you got the only sweet milk in the world”
Do you remember that one Trica 🙂
It might be a little to personal to mention?!
I’ve told Tricia we ought to cut a record of her many household songs and rhymes. It would include such hits as “My head it smells like feet” (a favorite of hers for the boys when they were/are young).
Of course, a couple of her songs, more related to, ahem, private matters of the heart, would remain unpublished.
I’m touched by all the kind comments here. Esp. given how utterly silly all my little songs really are. But they are lots of fun!! Maybe someday when I have nothing else on my plate, I will cut that record as Jay suggests.
