I had a discussion with a couple about the TV show 24 (I’ve only watched the first season). They liked it but the husband, a Christian trial lawyer, said that it always saddened him because of what it seemed to be preparing the American public to accept.

I sort of shrugged off his concerns, but this prompted me to think about it some more.
