Shocking

A couple weeks ago, I did something I thought I would never do. Never. Not now. Not ever. It’s all rather shocking. I’m shocked.

I now own this shirt.

That’s right. I have farmed out my upper body as an advertisement for a political candidate. I paid money to provide advertising, on my person, for Ron Paul. I’m still a bit shocked.

It now sits, freshly washed and folded, on the top of my stack of white t-shirts. I haven’t worn it yet, but that day is coming.

  1. This is very strange. I’m used to seeing you in white t-shirts, but not white t-shirts with writing on them.

Aren’t you the same person who rips the auto dealer’s logos off your cars once you drive off the lot?

I guess you’re just a few steps away from working for NASCAR.

  2. That’s right Andrew. I’m like one step away from tattooing some sponsor’s logo on my forehead. 🙂

Mark, I also bought a sign for the front yard and a bumper sticker.

  3. I’m a little ashamed to admit this, but whenever I hear “Ron Paul”, I think of Ron Jeremy and RuPaul.

Well, maybe more than a little bit.

  4. Also, I feel compelled to add that the only reason I know about Ron Jeremy comes from the fact that he was one of the interviewees on I Love The ’80s.

  5. Jay,

Ron Paul is an idiot. Anyone who believes the CIA should be disbanded is completely out of touch with the reality of the world we live in. He is the laughing stock of the political community, and the messiah of the under 21 atheist geek crowd. What are you thinking?

Your support for this ridiculous man is quite disappointing. You are quite intelligent and extremely educated. Having you support him is so very disappointing and below the mental prowess which I know you possess. Please, for the sake of us all, come back to the light and recant this absurd heresy, while you remain respected and admired.

    Regards.
