The PRs

Justification by Faith does not mean, then, salvation by believing instead of by doing right. It means pleading the merits of Christ before the throne of grace instead of our own merits. . . . Justification by Faith is nothing other than obtaining everlasting life by believing in Christ. . . .

via Old Life Theological Society » Blog Archive » Warfield on the Centrality of Justification.

The idea that there are any within the Reformed camp who would say that we should plead our own merits rather than the death and resurrection of Christ, is such a stupid falshood.  The idea that someone who would prefer to plead the blood of Jesus Christ, as “all my righteousness,” rather than speak of “merits,” rates Warfield’s warning is an even more stupid falsehood.

The Reformed is fast becoming the bastion of the intellectual pygmies of Evangelicalism.
