I’m beginning to wonder if the modern Lutherans understand Luther any better than modern “Calvinists” understand Calvin. Both were Augustinian. Both believed in predestination. Both believed in sacramental efficacy. Both believed in the duty of the Ruler to promote the true faith. Both believed in the separation of powers of church and state. (Two Kingdoms essentially)
Thanks for pointing this out.
