Changes

OK, this may be the last real post, but I will publish links to every new blog entry.

A couple of things converged: I was losing track of my template and needed a clean sweep; I wanted categories and I wanted them to have their own identities (titles, links, etc.

So I’ll post links here to all new entries that I publish in the categories listed above. If something is too generic to be categorized, I might go ahead and publish it here.

Make sense?

It does make sense, although you could get all this (and more) in one place with a better blog engine, like WordPress. Have you put any thought into that? Looks like your brother is also toying with WordPress over at hornes.org.

Yes, wordpress is definitely in my plans. But that will take me time and I got impatient…

Golly Mark… I’m so hurt. I mean… you dropped me from your blogroll. [whimper] I guess I’ll go sit in the backyard & eat worms.

    Huh? When?

    That was a glitch.

But it is good because I would have been linking your upsaid site anyway. Now I can fix it.

I was going to suggest WordPress, too. I’ve been loving it.

You might find that a side effect of this change is that you get fewer comments. Even as a mostly-lurker I’m finding it harder to go back to a post later to see what folks have said — because I have to go five different places to look up the comments.

Also, I wonder if you could use a different naming convention for the posts in “General”? When I’m reading the RSS feed, whenever you post a new entry titled “Elencticity”, it adjusts the RSS titles on the other ones to “Elencticity #1″, “Elencticity #2″, etc. Each time all of the old posts in that series have their numbering adjusted. Really just a minor inconvenience, but I have to go back each time and mark them all as read. Perhaps you could add the date to the title (“Elencticity 2006-08-02″) or somesuch.

    Thanks, Mark!
